The WCSU Libraries use an electronic ("online") catalog called CONSULS which stands for CONnecticut State University Library System. You can access CONSULS directly http://www.consuls.org , or through the WCSU Libraries website under Books & Media.
CONSULS lists the holdings of all four CSU libraries, plus the Connecticut State Library. The symbols for the five libraries are:
If you find a book, video, or CD in CONSULS which is owned by one of the other CSU libraries, but not by WCSU, you may request it via Inter-Campus Loan at the full record or title list display by clicking on "Request" in the toolbar at the top of the screen. You will then be prompted to type your ID# (Banner #), and your library PIN. Be sure to specify a pickup location before clicking on the gray bar at the bottom of the screen to initiate the loan. There is a limit of ten (10) Inter-Campus Loan requests per person at any one time. Please allow 3-4 working days for delivery to the pickup location you selected. You will be notified when the item arrives. If you need assistance in creating your library PIN#, please call the Haas Reference Desk at (203) 837-9110 or the Young Reference Desk at (203) 837-9139.
You may keep items requested via Inter-Campus Loan for the normal borrowing period of the lending library and return them to the Circulation Desk at the Haas or Young Library. To renew items, please call or come to the Circulation Desk (203-837-9100) on or before the date the item is due. Items placed on "Hold" by someone else may not be renewed.
