ERes and CONSULS Reserves
ERes - Course Web Pages
ERes is a web-based reserves system that allows you to upload and serve documents, presentations and web links for your students 24/7. It is simple to use and administer and flexible enough to handle all types of material. Students can access course information, selected readings, assignments from wherever they are and whenever they choose.
If you think ERes would be appropriate for your course, please contact Russ Gladstone, Access Services Librarian, at 203.837.9102 or as gladstoner@wcsu.edu.
CONSULS (Print) Reserves
Placing Items on Reserve
- To place items on reserve, faculty members must fill
out a
Reserve Request
form for each course. Blank
request forms are available at the Circulation Desk. Please allow a
minimum of two weeks for processing.
- Items are processed for reserves in the order in which
the
Reserve Request
forms are received by the
Circulation Department.
- Personal copies of an item may be placed on reserve at
the owner's risk and must be collected at the end of each
semester.
- Materials placed on reserve must comply with
appropriate sections of the U.S. Copyright Law (Title 17:
United States Code) specifically concerning:
- The use of photocopies and other reproductions of copyrighted
material
- The public use of videocassettes and other recordings
-
General procedures for compliance with U.S. Copyright Law can be
found in the
WCSU Faculty
Handbook
. Please note: The Library will not
place on reserve materials which do not comply.
- Materials are removed from the reserves shelf at the
end of the semester unless the faculty member requests otherwise.
Copyright may restrict retention of materials in reserve
status for more than one semester.
- Normally, no more than two (2) copies of any one copyrighted
photocopied item can be placed on reserve for a course.
Copyright approval is needed for the use of photocopied items
beyond one semester.
