The web resources listed below were carefully selected to complement the 'Freedom: A US History' exhibit mounted in Warner Hall on the midtown campus. The exhibit contains reproductions of historic American documents arranged into six thematic sections: The Founding Era, Young Republic, The Nation Dividing, The Firebell in the Night, The Union Threatened, The Union Preserved, and Emancipation and Epilogue: The Price of Freedom. Included in the collection are a rare 1776 printing of the Declaration of Independence; a draft of the U.S. Constitution; hand-written letters by George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass; photographs; daguerreotypes; and speeches.
