Your borrowing priveleges are not limited to books owned by Haas and Young Libraries. As a WCSU student, you have easy access to books at other CSU libraries. If the book you need is not available at any of the CSU libraries, our ILL office can try and locate the book at other libraries.
CONSULS Holds – for books from the Connecticut State Library System (CCSU, ECSU, and SCSU)
CONSULS is the library catalog for all of the CT State Universities, as well as the state library. If a book is not available at WCSU, you can request it from another CSU library if it is available there.
In CONSULS, conduct your search.
To request the book from another library, click “Request”.
Use your Banner ID and your library PIN to login.
After logging in, follow the instructions online and click “Submit”. Be sure to choose the library where you would like the book delivered (Haas/Midtown or Young/Westside).
It will take approximately 3-5 business days for the book to arrive at your library.
The Library will notify you by mail (or email if we have your address in our system) when it arrives. The library will hold the book for you at the circulation desk for 10 days.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) – for books from other(non-CSU) libraries
If a book or other material is not available at ANY of the CSU libraries, you may request it through ILLiad, our Interlibrary Loan service.
*Note: Not all books are available through this system.
Certain materials, such as new books and DVDs usually are not lent out through ILL.
This is determined by the lending library.
The WCSU ILL office will make every attempt to find the materials you need.
After logging in, click “Book” under “New Request” from the sidebar on the left. Fill in the form, using as much information about the book as you can. Be sure to fill in all of the required information.
If you need to find more information about a book that isn’t in CONSULS, you can use WorldCat.org (http://worldcat.org/ ), which is a web-based, global catalog of books at libraries all over the world. In most cases, you will find a link to ILLiad within the records you find in WorldCat.org. WorldCat.org is also helpful in finding books at other libraries in your area.
The ILL office will notify you via email when your book arrives at Haas Library.
