Ancell School of Business
About the Ancell School
In November 1982, Connecticut state officials dedicated a $10 million building on WestConn’s 315-acre Westside campus to house the Ancell School of Business. Although the state paid for the building, endowments from area businesses contributed much to the school’s success.
Named for Nathan S. Ancell, a major benefactor, WestConn’s business school is divided into five business administration departments (Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems and Marketing) and the Division of Justice and Law Administration (JLA). Graduate programs leading to Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Master of Science in Justice Administration (M.S.J.A.) are offered.
The school has educated thousands of students in the last two decades and been a resource to local corporations with many local employees enrolled in its programs. Demand for admission continues to rise.
