WCSU Library Collections

The collections of the WCSU Libraries include over 175,000 volumes, with approximately 6,500 volumes added annually, as well as current subscriptions to over 900 periodicals. The Haas Library also owns over 8,700 media titles (including over 80% of the titles on the National Film Registry), a small but growing collection of archival materials housed in the lower level, and a well-established curriculum collection on the 4th floor that supports the education students. Materials related to business, management, and accounting (including periodicals and reference books) are located in the Robert S. Young Library at the Westside Campus.

The WCSU Libraries share the CONSULS online catalog with the Connecticut State Library and the three other CSU libraries (CCSU, ECSU, and SCSU). CONSULS also provides access to a variety of online databases and indexes, including EBSCO, OCLC FirstSearch. IBM compatible workstations are available in the reference area and in the Midtown Computer Center (Cybercafe) on the first floor of the Haas Library for accessing information on the Internet.
