Launch / Explore / Summaries VS. Show /
- Tell only in the first level as the teacher does the launch.
- The faster the students can get to EXPLORE the better.
- ASSESSMENT is done by having the student make sense of a problem, show their thinking, and justify the validity of their result.
- It's simple really. Making models (with out questions or other devices) that the student can manipulate to assist solving their problems is great.
- Students learn from the struggle to make sense not the *great* explanations in the book or by the teacher.
