The New Look and Feel

The new screens were available for comment on April 27, 2007.
Restructuring
I think everyone feels there are things that need to be updated but we need to:
- identify the changes;
- communicate them clearly so that all the schools can agree;
- determine who will make the changes.
I also think that we could set up the pages for review on the Consuls server at the above URL. This staging area would allow every one to look at them before they were rolled into production.
Using this page
To make it a little easier to use this page I've taken the liberty to organize the comments by topic. If you don't see a topic that you would like to comment on create a new page. If you fill in you options you'll see a button at the bottom for creating a new page. (BK 10/2/07)

When a subject search is run, and you are looking at the results set, there is an option to sort by "year" and "reverse year." Oddly, if you select "year" searching you get oldest first, while if you select "reverse year" you get most recent first. I think these labels should be switched.

When you attempt to modify a keyword search that you've run, the system will convert it into an "advanced search" and take you back to advanced search screen. I think it is better to take the user back to keyword search, the original option chosen. It only confuses the person to switch like that.
