May talk about general education FYE program and beyond and incorporate the idea of tiered instruction. Will discuss the idea of reinforcing critical thinking processes in a classroom setting - i.e. asking questions, seeking answers with evidence; what kind of information would answer what kind of question?. Also, the emphasis of hands-on, active learning and the goal of having a "take-away" at the end of a session. Availability of librarian after the session ends may also be brought in - how to stay in contact with students. Perhaps faculty member will let librarian be part of the online course support system?

Will discuss how information literacy content is incorporated into library instruction for education and nursing students. What tools I use in library instruction, such as TIP tutorial, Big6 model, WCSU nursing online tutorial ("Information Literacy for Evidence-Based Nursing Practice"). Process of partnering with teaching faculty.

Information literacy and the reference interview, guiding students in their process of assembling topic, find vocab, etc., how to facilitate for successful outcome. (Observations along the way; why a senior doing thesis has had no library experience before!! There is no perfect subject/search. What do you care about? Should be an internal process. Driving the bus, where do you want to go? Ownership. At WCSU more opportunity for students to be drivers, at h.s. not so much)

Will talk about types of business bibliographic instruction sessions she delivers. What classes, what types of assignments. Some faculty bring students in, others do not (teach research skills themselves). [May not know what they don't know]?. Will also address preparedness of business majors for the research they are required to conduct.
