Money and Effort
Any project requires resources. This project requires money for the provision of computing resources and to pay for the labor needed to operate the ripping station. It also requires a commitment of time and effort by the library staff.

Note
The $2,500 for a music server will only be necessary when/if UC segments the campus network. If that happens then the music server may have to be on the same segment as the music lab. With the network configure as is, this machine is not necessary.
Note
Disk space for the ripping station would be an external drive such as the `Iomega UltraMax Hard Drive`_. The existing library web server would need additional internal drives added.
