| Abstract: | This thesis is a novella on the theme of free will. After the main character (John)
dies, he finds himself in absolute nothingness. He soon realizes, however, that he can
create any and everything he desires. After experimenting with this “power,” though, he
finds the results strangely dissatisfying. He asks god a question about this and God,
whose name is Gus, appears. God (Gus) explains that the only way John can truly
experience the things he experienced in life is by imagining them. He can not have them
first hand. They will only be the products of his imagination. John concludes that he must
create a universe for himself with beings who have free will. He is now plays the role of
god, just as Gus had, and the cycle continues. |
