Resuable Learning Objects

No one on our campus is even remotely thinking about this (as far as I can tell). I think it is important because at an institution like ours which doesn't generate much research "rlo"s may become a major portion of our intitutional repository.

From what I read "rlo"s have the possiblity to impact learning management and courseware systems. A lot of people are realizing that software like Blackboard, which works at the course level, just won't make because the system has to be more granular. "Small pieces loosely joined!" has become the catch phrase.
