Federated Search
I'm not a big fan of this but I could see where is could be useful. I've looked at using Z39.50 stuff from IndexData but not in any deatail.
It would be nice to come up with "use cases" indicating where, by whom, and what sources where this type of search would be useful and then see what we need to put into it.
