service agreement to move to Unicode display is cost-free; have to pay to have CJK indexes built; UTF8 part no big deal; we will move to WebOPAC? CJK display after finals are over
- ERM implementation (what is systems role?)
currently working on timeline for installation; questions about implementation and multiple bibs for each electronic journal;
- future of CONSULS/Innovative (after System Office withdrawal of funding)
possibility of two years before support is discontinued; shared physical asset; physical location of box is less important; legal problem with sharing student data? each campus could load their own patron data; Systems group prepares memo for directors
- Adding SMS functionality to CONSULS
in order to send call numbers and bibs to patrons' phones as text message; will need to be tested and tweaked
- Millennium Release 2007 upgrade
EI thinks we should wait to implement and suggest August; should be no big deal
- Scriblio/Future of OPAC
interested in Encore or other solutions? ViewFind? (Villanova); Evergreen, Koha; Iglesias interested in Liblime/Koha; OAI harvesting model will emerge as a standard?;
